After an intense 11-month investigation, Yahoo! Sports published an exclusive report on the University of Miami football scandal. The article quickly spread through social networks, receiving over 500,000 Facebook likes within the first 24 hours. In traditional media outlets, it produced more than 350 broadcast mentions, over 200 original articles, more than 300 syndicated articles, and dozens of radio interviews.
